A Meeting Place for Knowledge, Institutions and Healthcare Systems
The Mediterranean has always been a space of encounter between peoples, cultures and tural exchanges that have contributed to the growth of knowledge and innovation. Today, in a context marked by profound social, environmental and technological transformations, the Mediterranean faces new common challenges that directly concern the future of healthcare.
Technological evolution, climate change, the transformation of healthcare systems, population ageing and the emergence of new diseases are complex phenomena that transcend geographical borders and require an increasing capacity for international cooperation. The healthcare of the future cannot be built through isolated models, but requires networks capable of integrating research, education, innovation and shared responsibility. Within this framework, the International Forum of Mediterranean Universities on Technological Innovation in Healthcare is created as part of ExpoMedicina 2026, with the aim of establishing a permanent platform for dialogue and cooperation among Universities, Institutions, healthcare professionals and research centres from Mediterranean countries.
The “Mare Nostrum on Health” Forum represents an opportunity to develop a shared strategies to address the transformations that are reshaping medicine and healthcare systems.
