Rep-Biotech Innovative Training Network (ITN) (http://www.um.es/rep-biotech) has an open call to hire 15 PhD candidates to join our network.

Rep-Biotech ITN is a European network to train excellent researchers on the topic of Biology and Technology of Reproductive Health (human and animal). This network is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme and is composed of 12 leading academic research groups and 3 companies from 9 different countries: Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Belgium, Germany, USA, Japan and The Netherlands. http://www.um.es/rep-biotech/index.php#partners.

The selected candidates will be hired for 3-years by one of the universities (beneficiaries) that participate in Rep-Biotech ITN, beginning in March-April 2016, with the aim of completing their PhD studies and defending their doctoral thesis before 31th October 2019. Expressions of interest should be sent to repbiotech@um.es before November 30th 2015 and full applications must be submitted online following instructions before December 31st 2015.

Applicants must fulfill ALL eligibility requirements:

  • 1. Researchers must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of graduation with their primary degree and have not yet been awarded a doctoral degree at the time of recruitment.
  • 2. In addition, researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc) in the country of recruitment for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the employment date.
  • 3. Admission to the programme is open to applicants who hold either a Master Degree or equivalent.
  • 4. Applicants are required to be proficient in the English language. If English is not the mother language of the applicant, must provide a certificate from a recognized institution or course (e.g. TOEFL) to prove attainment of the B2 level or similar.
