The University of Murcia supports the 1st Hispanic-Arabian University meeting, HISARA
11 abr 2016The Tres Culturas Foundation of Sevilla will host in May the First Hispanic-Arabian University Meeting, HISARA University, organised by the company Ambar Connect, and as the co-operators the Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación (Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education or SEPIE by its spanish initials), the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), Casa Árabe and Tres Culturas Foundation.
Hisara University is the first congress in Spain which joins together the main actors who participate in the university training process. The days 17th and 18th of May the institutions, faculties, business schools, professionals and enterprises will analyze the challenges that universities are facing, like the cooperation in education, as the organizers of the meeting have mentioned.
“The aim of this meeting is to held a platform which acts as an understanding and common point between the business sector and the education for the creation of the hispanic-arabian knowledge and transference space” said Carolina de Funes, manager of Ambar Connect.The program will deal with strategic issues for the future of universities, such as fostering the development of international training programs, producing partnership agreements in order to promote the mobility of researchers, teachers and students, the relation between university and enterprises and the promotion of Spanish and Arabic languages.
The institutional level will be represented by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport through SEPIE. “With this collaboration we will promote the relationships among Spanish and Arabian universities, so that to encourage the mobility of university students” declared Alfonso Gentil, Manager of the Unit for Internationalization of Higher Education in Spain. Besides, Pr. Tahar Hadjar, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Argelia will also attend the meeting.Among the entities and organisms that will participate, various Spanish and foreign universities have been registered; such as Campus of International Excellence Mare Nostrum, that will represent the University of Murcia and whose delegation will be led by Pilar Garrido, main coordinator of Campus Mare Nostrum 37/38, who will show the academic offer of this project. In this sense, Pilar Garrido expressed that “Campus Mare Nostrum of International Excellence and focus of an educational, scientific and cultural excellence by and for the Mediterranean comes to HISARA University with the aim of consolidating joint
projects and continuing to strengthen ties with our Arabian partners and neighbours”.
The University of Huelva, the University of Cádiz, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Dhofar University of Oman and Al Quds of Libya, among others, have also been registered.
This meeting hopes to give a space where to share models of entrepreneurship for students, as well as to stand out the role of the Spanish and Arabian institutions in a global space.
