Call for participants in the CMN Summer Scientific Campuses for Secondary School students now open12 mar 2015
Applications for the Summer Scientific Campus, a Spanish Government initiative to promote scientific vocation among young people can be submitted until March 12.
Summer Scientific Campuses are aimed at 4th year ESO and 1st year Bachillerato students from all over the country, who will get direct experience of university researchers’ daily work.
The programme includes cultural and scientific leisure activities such as conferences and museum visits, along with sports and and music.
Lecturer Rosa María Ros from the University of Murcia, with the collaboration of the Mare Nostrum Campus of Excellence, supervise and take part in the projects: “H20: a very special molecule”, “Biotechnology”, “Physics research in the daily environment”, and “Solving Crimes Scientifically: the importance of forensic science.”
These campuses will run from June 28 to July 25 in four shifts of seven hours and are part of an initiative of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, sponsored by “la Caixa” Social Projects.
