CMN screening of the documentary 'Ibn Arabi. The Splendour of Al Andalus'

The Aula Antonio Soler on the  Campus de La Merced yesterday hosted the screening of the documentary, 'Ibn Arabi. The Splendour of Al Andalus', directed by Miguel Valls.

The documentary is part of a series entitled "The Journey towards the Mediterranean Tradition ", and covers the life and period of the brilliant sufi poet from Murcia and his journeys through Al Andalus.

The round table that followed the screening included:
- Miguel Valls, director and scriptwriter of the series.
- Pilar Garrido, lecturer in Arabic Studies at the University of Murcia and General Coordinator of Campus Mare Nostrum.
- Virginia Villaplana, lecturer in Audiovisual Communications at the University of Murcia and Director of the Cinema and Digital Culture Society.

The event reinforces the commitment of the 'Mare Nostrum 37/38' International Campus of Excellence to offer continued activities aimed at disseminating science and culture, and was jointly organised with the University of Murcia Cinema and Digital Culture Society. It is also one of a series of events commemorating the Centenary of the University of Murcia (CENTUM).
