Presentation of the 1st Mare Nostrum Campus Sports Trophy

The Chancellors of the University of Murcia and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, José Orihuela and José Antonio Franco, presented the 'Campus Mare Nostrum' trophy on Friday December 5.

In an attempt energize the whole university, promote sport, collaborate in the complete education of students and to increase levels of socialization, the state universities of the region have set up this sporting event that will be held in May 2015.

This is an annual competition between students of the University of Murcia and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, with matches between the winners of the Chancellor's trophies at each university in the second fortnight of May each year.

The tournament will be held at both universities in alternate years, beginning at the University of Murcia.

28 sporting events will be disputed in the tournament.
