CMN and Casa Árabe meet today in Madrid

The General Coordinator of Campus Mare Nostrum 37/38', Pascual Pérez-Paredes, the Vice President for Research and Internationalization of the University of Murcia, Gaspar Ros Berruezo, and  the Arabist and teacher, Pilar Garrido, will meet the Director General of Casa Árabe, Eduardo Busquets, today.

The purpose of the meeting and of the official reception is to identify collaboration opportunities for both the institution under the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Campus of International Excellence Mare Nostrum (UPCT and UMU).
The dissemination of the Arab culture and its influence in the Mediterranean countries and universities, the mutual support and the dissemination of topics of common interest to both parties, as well as the potential signature of an agreement between Casa Árabe and CMN are some of the issues to be discussed.

Casa Árabe-Instituto Internacional de Estudios Árabes y del Mundo Musulmán is a consortium created in July 2006 through a collaboration agreement signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID), the Junta de Andalucía, the Autonomous Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council and the city of Córdoba. With offices in Madrid and Cordoba, it is chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

Casa Árabe’s main objectives are to strengthen bilateral and multilateral political relationships, to encourage and support the economic, cultural and education ones, and to promote training and knowledge around the Arab and the Muslim world.

The meeting will be held at 16:00 at the headquarters of Casa Arabe (C / Alcalá, 62, Madrid).
