April 22-23: UNIMED Conference

UNIMED is organizing a conference in Rome on April 22-23 on mobility.

The provisional title is: 'Mobility of Students and Researchers as key factor of Internationalization of HE Institutions'

During the conference several issues related to the international dimension of cooperation with third countries will de discussed such as the new programs of the European Union for the period 2014-2020, like "Erasmus for All" and "Marie Sklodowska-Curie."

Speakers and representatives of the European Commission, in particular of DG Education and Culture, rectors and representatives of international relations offices associated to UNIMED network, Erasmus delegates and representatives from UNIMED-Students will participate in the event.

Following the last conference held on October 2nd at the University of Barcelona, where it has been discussed about "International cooperation in the Mediterranean region - EU programs 2014-2020", UNIMED intends to take a step forward in this direction by analyzing how the future EU programs can help improve and enhance the mobility of students, researchers and more generally, the university co-operation in the Mediterranean.

The main objective of the conference, through several workshops, is twofold:

1. providing associated universities with a more accurate and detailed description of upcoming new EU programmes for the period 2014-2020;

2. providing associated universities with an opportunity to discuss the many technical, operational, but also political and cultural aspects of the implementation of these new programs thanks to the lessons learned from previous programs.

The agenda of the event will be uploaded very soon.
