EMUNI Meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain

Madrid, Spain, 25 June. The President of EMUNI, made an official visit to Prof. Juan Maria Vazquez Rojas, the Director General for Research for the Spanish Government at the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness to discuss the presence of EMUNI in Spain and the possible collaboration with the Spanish Government in the new programmes to be launched with the Union for the Mediterranean label.  Prof. Vazquez is a current member of the Study Affairs Evaluation committee of EMUNI.  During the meeting the President of EMUNI also met with Isabel V. Gonzalez, in charge of coordination of internal and external cooperation of the Ministry in the field of agriculture and food security and with Paloma Melgareja Nardiz, a head of Unit of the same area to discuss the possibility of a Euro-Med EMUNI think thank meeting with other experts from EMUNI in this field.  A think tank meeting for EMUNI is being envisaged later on this year.
