EUROMEDITERRANEAN MEETING FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Campus Mare Nostrum 37/38 took part in a round table together with other Mediterranean universities from Slovenia, Israel, Italy and Spain in the framework of the Euromediterranean Space for Sustainability. The meeting, entitled Ricerca e politica per un’idea di sviluppo sostenibile. Le Università del Mediterraneo, gave academic authorities the chance to discuss the future of universities in the Mediterranean and the role of sustainability.

The event, taking place in Bari, Italy, from 31^st  January to 4^th February 2012, was organised by the local government of the Region of Puglia (Italy) in collaboration with the Italian Federation of Natural Parks and Reserves and brought together managers, enterprises, associations, scientific institutions and local and national authorities from different countries in order to discuss on the preservation of natural reserves, environment and sutainable development in the Mediterranean basin.
