Call to participate as a student juror in the 7th edition of the Unimed Award at the Venice International Film Festival 2023

One more year, Campus Mare Nostrum in collaboration with UNIMED launches the call for UMU students who want to participate as a jury at the Venice Film Festival. The jury will be in charge of selecting the winning film of the UNIMED award, a collateral award to the Venice International Film Festival, which will be assigned by a jury of international students from UNIMED partner universities, including the University of Murcia.

The 80th edition of the Venice International Film Festival is scheduled to be held from August 30 to September 9, 2023; considered one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world, it will take place within the "Biennale di Venezia", one of the most important international exhibitions of contemporary art.

This seventh edition of the UNIMED Award is part of the recognized and close collaboration between UNIMED and the Biennale di Venezia, and during one week the jury will evaluate the films presented to award the prize to the best film related to the themes of diversity and cultural integration.

In this framework, Campus Mare Nostrum will collect the CVs of interested students, from degrees that address issues related to interculturality, tolerance, diversity, exchange and integration of people, and who can prove to have a good level of English C1. The CVs will be evaluated in this first phase by a commission made up of the Vice Rector for Internationalization, the CMN Coordinator and the Head of International Relations. Subsequently, the two best CVs will be sent to the organization to be evaluated by a committee.

The students of the University of Murcia who are finally part of the international jury will be eligible, through the CMN call "Support of actions for students in the framework of the Campus Mare Nostrum", for a grant of up to 500 € for travel and accommodation. Travel expenses on site, meals during the event and accreditation of the festival will be paid by the organization according to the Unimed Award 2023 Call for participants.
