The foundation Women for Africa and the government of Canary Islands give African female university students the opportunity to study in Gran Canaria. Second call open throughout the year 2021

It is open now the second call for the grants from the Women for Africa Foundation in collaboration with the government of the Canary Islands to study in Gran Canaria.

The grants which have different language courses, specialized short courses, and university degrees, will continue throughout the 2021. In this programme, only can participate women who have an African nationality.

The student will discover different language courses in Spanish, English and French, and all of them will be taught online. For that reason, it is essential to have a computing device (computer, laptop, tablet) and an internet connection. Also, she will need to be enrolled in an African university or have a university degree issued in an African country. The scholarships cover the enrolment, academic fees and the issuance of the degree or certificate achieved.

What you have to do to apply for the grant is to consult the study of interest, fill in a form with your personal details and attach the required documents. In the form appears all the available courses and it could be possible to select up to three.

Once the enrolment has been sent through the website (only admissible by this way), it is not possible to change any of the information or documents sent. The enrollment and starting date are detailed in each programme information sheet. The final selection will be agreed with each training centres and will be communicated personally to the selected students.

The training centres which offer the studies are:  University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), University of La Laguna (ULL), School of Health and Social Services of the Canary Islands (ESSSCAN), General Foundation of the University of La Laguna (FGULL), University Foundation of Las Palmas (FULP) and the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands (ITC).
