Photographic Exhibition. The Magic of Islamic Geometric Design

An exhibition about the Islamic Geometric Design was inaugurated  by the Faculty of Economic Science at the Technical University of Cartagena under CAMPUS MARE NOSTRUM on Tuesday 7th March. Thus, José María Simón’s Photo Exhibition is devoted to the Islamic Geometric Beauty.

The Presentation and Inauguration of the exhibition started on Tuesday at 7.15 pm and ends on 17th March.

Pilar Garrido Clemente, Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies and Member of the Spanish Society and Iranology, was in charge of inaugurating the event talking about « The Symbolism of Geometry in Islam » and Marina Díaz Sanz talked about «Our eyes on Iran: The Journey of Photography».

This exhibition was coordinated by the Iranian Embassy in Spain in collaboration with UCPT (Technical University of Cartagena) and UMU (Murcia University).

The visiting hours is from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at The Faculty of Economic Sciences exhibition hall.
