In this new edition of the congress, CEBES continues with their commitment on bringing over the relevant and topical issues to their main target audience: Society. For that reason this year the congress is going to address questions with a crucial relevance, from an environmental point of view, and in a health context. Friday 15th and Thursday 21th the journeys are destined to the issue of contaminated soils of the Region de Murcia, and its implications for the health from the point of view of biolaw. A wide range of specialists in the subject is going to discuss about an unquestionable and important reality of today and also for the future generations. The days 20th, 21st and 22nd, these sessions are focused on the reality of E-health and how it has an impact on the most vulnerable patients, particularly on older people, with the aim of bringing health reality closer to the specific needs of this group and of increasing the value of a life period where it is essential to pay special attention to people’s dignity. These sessions also influence in the new challenges that several issues pose, such as the relationship between doctors and patients, the gender-based violence related to sanitary professional and in euthanasia and all the problematic that affects to a person who is at the end of his life, which are subjects that nowadays require a calm and responsible debate. Another large number of specialists, who are nationally and internationally relevant, will illustrate and debate about all these issues.

Biolaw, as a discipline which involves Law, Ethics and Science from an interdisciplinary approach, has to face the challenge of proposing working methods that provide points of view in finding a solution to those large controversies that the modern era presents; an era where law, ethics and science have to go together looking for fair solutions that respect human rights.
