Dear EMUNI partners,
We are pleased to be involved in the opportunity to offer one scholarship to an Advanced Master Programme on Blue Growth, conducted by the Italian National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics (OGS) and the University of Trieste.
The candidates - ideally doctoral or postodoctral researchers - should be from one of the member states of the Central European Initative (Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosna and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine).
The aim of the Master is to enhance the marine and maritime training curriculum with a focus on the Mediterranean region, to promote sustainable economic development and responsible growth and to contribute to the promotion of employment in the so-called blue careers, while at the same time helping to foster dialogue between the Mediterranean countries, thanks to the Science Diplomacy.
Format: Three high-level sessions (entirely in English) will take place in Trieste (Italy). The beginning of the master will be through an online kick-off and a first series of online based lessons will be provided in order to make an overall overview of the master's topics and to uniform the students skills. The teacher-led classes will be distributed over the year during three two-week intensive sessions that will take place respectively in 5-18 March, 25 June to 8 July and 15-28 October.
Main topics are illustrated in the following link: http://bluegrowth.inogs.it/advancedmaster/topics-2018
The grant is provided by the Central European Initiative and will cover one registration fee (Eur 3.200) to candidates from CEI member states. To apply for such grant, the candidate should send a CV (preferably Europass format) to masterbluegrowth@inogs.it the soonest possible. Applying candidates should also send a note that they have submitted their applicaton to education@emuni.si.
We hope that you will be able to help in ensuring that this wonderfully opportunity reaches the adequate candidates.
