The University of Murcia (UMU) presents its academic offer at the I Feria Estudiar en España for Sub-Saharan African countries
03 May 2021The I Feria Estudiar en España- África Subsahariana (1st Study in Spain Sub-Saharan Africa Fair) is a bet by SEPIE to expand and promote Spanish Higher Education beyond our borders, as it is doing with other countries in the world. On this occasion, it firmly believes in the great possibilities and potential of the area, which will increase in the coming years.
The Embassies of Ivory Coast, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria/Benin and Senegal/Gambia, together with the Cervantes Institute (with headquarters in Dakar and an extension in Abidjan, Ivory Coast), the MAEC (The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation plans) through the Subdirección General de Asuntos Multilaterales y Horizontales D.G. (Directorate-General) for Africa, the MEFP (The Ministry of National Education and Professional Training) through its Dirección de Programas Educativos in Equatorial Guinea, the Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX), Casa África and finally, the OBREAL GLOBAL observatory, are collaborating very actively in the dissemination of the fair, which already has more than 500 people interested (with just over a week to start).
The profile of the participant is a secondary school student in the last year of high school who next year decided to start higher education and university students from the 11 African universities in the area and other institutions of higher education and university associations.
The UMU will participate along with 18 other Spanish public and private universities on 5th and 6th May from 12:00 pm to 20:00 pm, with the purpose of promote the global academic offer of Degrees, Master’s Degree and PhD among sub-Saharan countries: Senegal, Gambia, Ghana and Ivory Coast, Benin, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria.
