The aim of  the Social Intervention Psychology  Master's program is to train professionals to be  prepared to work in a variety of settings in order to understand, transform, and improve the situations of persons, groups, communities and organizations in which humans develop across the life span. The program focuses on: (a) identifying, understanding and assessing social problems, (b) creating, improving, implementing and evaluating prevention and intervention programs; and (c) understanding the forms of diversity and inequality among individuals.  Social issues are studied from a social-psychological perspective. Special attention is paid to the academic and professional skills necessary for researching psychosocial processes.

The role of the health professions is increasingly complex, with a more comprehensive integral health and where their interventions are aimed to increase the quality of life, while mixing clinical and technological resources with more psychological and social ones.

Moreover, Women’s specific health needs and health research, taking into account gender as a science, are essential to articulate an adequate Health-Care system according to the existing demand.

We intend to train Health-Care professionals able to analyze situations of health parity while designing and implementing health strategies for women.
